Te Matapunenga o Te Kotahi: Kaupapa Māori across Research Spaces

Te Kotahi Research Institute (TKRI) was established by Te Rōpū Manukura, who represent iwi within the University of Waikato region. The Institute draws inspiration from Sir Robert Te Kotahi Mahuta, from whom the Institute derives its name. This presentation provides an overview of the institutes contribution to this vision to undertake Kaupapa Māori activities that support the research needs and aspirations of iwi across the motu. We take a particular focus in this panel on (i) Te Kotahi kaupapa; (ii) Iwi research and development; and (iii) Maori and Indigenous Doctoral support programmes.
