Ten decolonising things we can do every day

The ongoing impacts of colonisation are keenly felt by indigenous populations the world over. This facilitated group discussion aims to explore the ‘decolonising things’ that individuals and families can, and indeed already do, undertake on a daily or weekly basis. These are simple, achievable tasks that represent acts of resistance and resilience and contribute to decolonisation by re-asserting our status as indigenous, re-claiming sovereignty and living according to the values and practices handed down from our ancestors. The workshop aims to draw comparisons from the contexts of different countries, providing a space for participants to share decolonising daily strategies.
