Tribal Water Summit: Building Capacity in Indian Country by Honoring Our Relationship with Water

In our proposed workshop we will focus on the Tribal Water Summit hosted in collaboration with the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians and the University of Washington’s Information School. This annual Summit brings together federally-recognized tribes in the Pacific Northwest to strengthen a dialogue about tribal water security, and to develop priorities and goals to protect the future of our waters and the health of our communities. We are an Indigenous team that brings together tribal leaders, community members, non-profit organizations, scientists, policy analysts, and state and federal agency representatives to honor our relationship with water.
